Steffen Family

This was the second time the Steffen's had me out to hang with their family. Its amazing how crossing the MN/WI border and driving through farmland completely changes my mood. I love "the city" but don't get out of it often enough. Time slows down. I hear the breeze, and not much else. Its always a breath of fresh air hanging out with a family who is comfortable in their own skins and just wants to hang out doing typical, everyday stuff. I'm secretly bummed ice cream sandwiches didn't make it into the mix, though...because I've seen photos Emily has posted of these creations and they look amazing! Thanks so much Steffen's. I'm humbled you've invited me into your lives over the years. 

Nick & Kate's Minneapolis waterfront wedding

I had the joy of documenting a formal wedding near downtown Minneapolis last weekend. Nick and Kate were looking amazing and most family and friends traveled from the east coast to celebrate these two. The rain held off and the band played late. I couldn't ask for a better group of people to hang with the entire day. Much thanks to my friend, Thea. Some of the photos in this post are hers.
