After completing his art degree from the University of Minnesota in 2005, Ryan has pursued photography as a focus. While photography is still a primary focus, since the Summer of 2024, a collection of paintings inspired by travel and everyday life have begun to develop. Ryan is currently giving attention to the practice of painting as a means of slowing down and being more present with subject matter that has been meaningful to him over the years.
