Aaron + Katie's Engagement / Butter Cafe / Lake Calhoun

There's a special thing that happens when someone loves your photography so much the very first words in an email go something like this...

"I really want you to be my photographer, you are so gifted, I just love your work."

There is an appreciation and trust in those words that just fuels passion and excitement to work and create. Katie and Aaron are these people.  Thank you guys, so much. It was such a joy to hang out with you and I'm really excited to be a guest at your wedding, with camera in hand.

I really wanted to wait until Minnesota had some snow before posting this session. Yes, we went to IKEA.  Hey, it was actually very fun. And yes, there was a snowball fight!  See the wedding photos HERE. (this engagement was from the winter of 2010, but I never posted it because i didnt have a blog, yet!)

Painting

I WAS CONTACTED BACK IN SEPTEMBER OF 2011 FOR A COMMISSIONED PAINTING OF THE HENNEPIN AVENUE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH + THE IRENE HIXON WHITNEY BRIDGE.  THAT'S PRETTY MUCH IT.  INCLUDE THOSE TWO ELEMENTS AND DO AS YOU WISH.  SWEET.  HERE'S A LOOK INTO MY PROCESS AND THE FINAL PAINTING.
