Stouts Island Lodge Wedding with Katy & Jon

The forecast was for rain. I was bummed. Stouts Island Lodge is a destination venue where family and friends travel to enjoy a weekend getaway. Guests swim, kayak, fish, soak up the sun, read while looking out over the lake, enjoy nature, and experience a slowing down and enjoying friends that is hard to replicate anywhere else in the midwest. Rain just gets in the way of enjoying the weekend. BUT, as often does...the weather turned. The wedding day was gorgeous and was only outdone by how amazing Katy and Jon looked together. Everyone involved pulled off the perfect wedding. Below are a collection of random moments and portraits caught throughout the day.

Bookings for 2019 are coming in, but I still have plenty of availability and I'd love to hear from yah! After 7 years, I'm amazed photography has turned into a career and one I love more now than when I started. Thanks so much for all your support. Literally, cannot do this without your help.

Stephanie & Brian's Lake Minnetonka Boat Cruise Wedding

H2O. Water. Brian and Steph love it. Which is why they opted for a ceremony overlooking Lake Minnetonka, a quick ride on Brian's fishing boat, and a reception on Lake Minnetonka. They also had a lot of rain, which they didn't plan for or want. But, sometime's wedding days just don't go as planned and you have to roll with it. Thankfully, we had periodic moments without rain and enough time to enjoy the scenery and make some pretty rad images. Thanks, Steph and Brian. You embraced the day your received and made the most of it, with joy.

Laura & Ladd's Campus Club Wedding

There were so many intimate, powerful moments during Laura and Ladd's wedding day. Ladd was in a serious car accident during their relationship and it felt like the gravity of the day and the fragility of life were truly felt. I can't thank the Campus Club enough for letting us out on the roof that night. You can tell by the photos, Laura and Ladd soaked up those moments, watching the sun go down and the photos from that time are some of my favorite of all time. This was a wedding from 2016, and I can't believe I hadn't blogged it. Thanks Laura and Ladd. Your openness and vulnerability with each other in front of the camera was truly inspiring.

I'm currently taking bookings for 2018 and 2019 and with over 100 weddings under my belt can't imagine stopping. But, I need your help. Do you know someone engaged or soon to be? If they would be served by honest, discrete documentation of their wedding day and relationship,

I'm here.

Thanks for the support, friends.
